Ariston Theatre

Opened in 1963, the renowned Ariston Theatre, home of the Italian Song Festival, stands just a few minutes’ walk from our residence. Its name comes from the Greek word ariston, meaning “the best”, a symbol of excellence. The theatre is the result of an important work in acoustic and sound design, and also hosts cinema and theatre events in addition to the beloved song contest. Purchased by the Vacchino family, who still own it today, the Ariston has become an institution for the city and an icon of international music.

Villa Ormond Gardens

Villa Ormond encloses a lush green oasis, a true symbol of the city: the Ormond Gardens.
Once known as Villa Rambaldi and later purchased by the Swiss entrepreneur Ormond, the estate was acquired by the Municipality in 1930, becoming a public park. With its strong 19th-century character, the gardens of Villa Ormond represent a priceless botanical heritage of the Riviera: palms, agaves, maritime pines, and fountains adorned with statues, roses, and century-old conifers.

Old Harbor and Passeggiata Imperatrice

Just a few steps from Piazza Bresca, the heart of Sanremo’s nightlife, you’ll find the Old Harbor, a symbol of the city’s maritime tradition: the perfect place for a relaxing stroll among the sails and the scent of the sea. Continuing along the coast, you’ll reach the famous Passeggiata Imperatrice: an emblem of Sanremo, lined with palm trees, sculptures, and the majestic Orthodox Church, offering a stunning sea view whether on foot or by bike.

Cycling Riviera of Western Liguria

The Cycling Riviera is a stunning coastal trail running along the sea of the Ligurian Riviera, passing through charming villages, bridges, and some of the most renowned towns of the Riviera dei Fiori. Stretching for 33 kilometers, it starts in Imperia, passes through San Lorenzo al Mare and Arma di Taggia, and continues all the way to Sanremo, along Corso Imperatrice, where the famous Orthodox Church stands on one side and the blue sea shines on the other.
